The admissions process received a strong response this year, with more than 160,000 students applying for admission to government colleges across Sindh.
Karachi recorded the highest number of applications, reflecting the increasing demand for higher education in the city.
The 2026-27 academic session is scheduled to begin on August 1, 2026.
Among all available study groups, Computer Science continued to be one of the most sought-after disciplines, attracting a large number of applicants during the admission process.
SECCAP has advised students whose allotted college does not appear to match the official merit criteria not to worry.
According to the department, a “Claim” option will be activated on the admission portal within the next one to two days, allowing eligible students to request a review of their college allotment.
