The online property transfer system of Sindh Revenue Department has remained down for three consecutive days due to a technical fault, stalling thousands of real estate transactions across Karachi and other parts of the province.
Citizens have been unable to download challans or complete scheduled property registrations since the outage began, department officials confirmed. The malfunction has disrupted the standard transfer process, leaving pending cases unresolved despite repeated assurances of a quick fix.
Officials said technical teams are working to restore the system, though the outage has now stretched beyond the initial timeline given to affected citizens. No fresh deadline for full restoration has been announced.
The disruption comes months after Sindh introduced a new e-transfer system aimed at simplifying property transfers and cutting down on paperwork. The digital platform was designed to speed up transactions and improve convenience for the public.
Authorities had presented the system as a step toward greater transparency in land dealings, describing it as part of broader governance reforms intended to reduce fraud in property transactions across the province.
