The federal government has extended the contract appointment of Brigadier (Retired) Kashif Saleem as Executive Director (SEG-2) of the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB) under the Cabinet Division for another two years.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division on August 3, 2026, the extension has been approved by the Federal Government and will take effect from July 9, 2026.
The notification states that Brig. (R) Kashif Saleem will continue serving as Executive Director of the Frequency Allocation Board until July 8, 2028, or until further orders.
The Establishment Division has forwarded copies of the notification to the Prime Minister’s Office, President’s Secretariat, Cabinet Division, Principal Information Officer, and other relevant authorities for implementation.
The Frequency Allocation Board is responsible for the management and allocation of Pakistan’s radio frequency spectrum, which supports telecommunications, broadcasting, and other wireless communication services.
