Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited (PSX: MUGHAL) has successfully raised Rs2 billion through the issuance of its Sukuk VIII, the company announced in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
According to the company, the A-rated, secured, privately placed, over-the-counter (OTC) listed, three-year Sukuk was offered to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) to meet the company’s working capital requirements.
The transaction was successfully completed on August 5, 2026, which also served as the issue date for the Sukuk.
The total Sukuk issue size is up to Rs2.5 billion, including a Green Shoe Option of Rs500 million.
Mughal Steel said the Green Shoe Option remains open, and the company will notify the market separately if the additional amount is successfully subscribed.
The latest fundraising is expected to strengthen the company’s liquidity position and support its ongoing operational and working capital needs.
