The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and surrounding areas on Wednesday, August 12, due to maintenance and routine development work.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply in several areas of the Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. The affected feeders include Waheed Abad, Khanna Dak, UC-2, Burma, Rehman Enclave, Shareefabad, Sudhran, Waris Valley, Khadhrapur, Khanna East and Ghauri Garden.
Power supply will also be suspended from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in areas connected to the Taramri, Lehtrar Road and ISI feeders, while the Gharial feeder will face an outage from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In the Rawalpindi City Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Al-Noor Colony and AFOSH feeders.
Meanwhile, consumers in the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle will experience outages from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Jhata Hatyal, Bhal and Jarrar Camp feeders. Supply will also remain suspended from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Jail Park-1, Car Chowk, Mehboob Shaheed, Park View, Pindi Board and Chowk Pindori feeders.
In the Attock Circle, power supply will be suspended from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Hussainabad, Lala Zar and Industrial State Bathar feeders. Katchery, Dar-ul-Islam Colony, Attock Cantt and Dhoke Fateh feeders will face outages from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The Jhelum Circle will also experience scheduled power cuts from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Karyala, Metro City, Grand City, Bolani, Jakkar and F-9 (Chak Daulat) feeders.
In the GSO Circle, electricity supply will be suspended from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. along the 132KV Sangjani-Pirwadhai transmission line (PWD-I).
IESCO will also suspend supply from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the 132KV GSS Rawat-II power transformer T-1, while outages are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 132KV AWC HMC Taxila and the 132KV Sangjani-Burhan line.
Additionally, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. along the 132KV Kahuta City-Palandri and 132KV New Wah-Bahtermore lines, including the related earth switch and surrounding areas.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly as the scheduled interruptions are being carried out for maintenance and development work.
