Punjab has granted a two-year relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates appearing in the Provincial Management Service (PMS) BS-17 combined competitive examination, allowing applicants up to 32 years of age to apply for the 2026 and 2027 exam cycles.
The Services and General Administration Department issued the notification after the Punjab governor approved amendments to the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976.
The relaxation has been described as a special one-time dispensation.
The revised age limit applies exclusively to recruitment for PMS BS-17 posts through the Punjab Public Service Commission. It will remain in effect from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027, covering both examination cycles falling within this period.
