Google has expanded its student-focused Gemini tools to Pakistan, giving students access to new artificial intelligence features designed to support studying, coursework, exam preparation, research, and career planning.
The Gemini for Students page is now available in Pakistan, while Google’s new study notebooks are being rolled out to personal accounts globally. However, Pakistani students are not currently eligible for Google’s new one-year free premium AI student offer.
Gemini Introduces Dedicated Study Tools
Gemini allows students to understand difficult topics through step-by-step explanations based on their own study materials.
Students can upload lecture notes, presentations, syllabi, reading materials, and other documents. Gemini can then use these resources to create personalized learning materials.
Google’s study notebooks provide a dedicated workspace for this process. Students can begin with a diagnostic quiz that identifies areas where they need additional practice.
Based on the results, Gemini can generate smaller, personalized lessons. The learning content can also adjust as students complete additional quizzes and provide more study material.
The study notebooks work with NotebookLM, allowing students to turn their materials into resources such as flashcards and infographics.
Tools for Exams, Assignments and Research
Gemini can help students convert notes and course materials into study guides and practice quizzes.
The AI can also explain complex concepts, answer questions based on uploaded documents, and assist with writing, brainstorming, outlining, and proofreading.
Students can use Gemini’s research capabilities to find and organize information. Google Search can also provide supporting sources and citations for research.
The tools can further help students prepare presentations and improve written assignments.
Gemini Adds Career Support for Students
Google is also promoting Gemini as a career preparation tool for students entering the workforce.
Students can use the AI to review and improve their CVs, create practice interview questions based on specific job descriptions, and explore potential career paths based on their skills and experience.
Gemini’s image tools can also help users create or edit professional images and headshots.
The expansion gives Pakistani students access to a broader set of AI-powered learning and career tools, although the availability of Google’s premium one-year student offer remains limited in Pakistan for now.
