The headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) will be relocated from Karachi to the federal capital Islamabad.
According to media reports, both organizations will move from Karachi Airport to Islamabad Airport, where a temporary headquarters is being constructed to facilitate the immediate transfer.
A seven-member committee comprising officers from the PAA and CAA has been formed to oversee the relocation process. Deputy Director General of the Airports Authority Sadiq Rehman will head the joint committee, which is tasked with finalizing the site for the temporary headquarters.
The CAA has been instructed to complete its move to the temporary headquarters by November, while the PAA has been given until December to finalize its transfer.
Both organizations currently operate their headquarters in Karachi. Regional offices of the CAA and PAA across the country will continue to function without any change.
