Vivo has confirmed that its X500 series will launch in September. The new lineup will follow the Vivo X300 series and include the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. Vivo product manager Han Boxiao shared the news on Weibo. He also revealed several camera details ahead of the launch. The new phones are expected to focus heavily on video recording.
The Vivo X500 Pro models will feature a “ZEISS Ultra Dynamic Main Camera.” It will use a custom Phantom 900 sensor developed by Sony and Vivo’s Blueprint imaging team. The sensor is claimed to deliver a 17EV dynamic range. It will also support 4K 240fps slow-motion recording and 4K 120fps HDR video.
The X500 Pro Max will take the camera setup further with 3° optical image stabilization. The series will also support CIPA 7.0 professional-grade stabilization for smoother video.
Camera upgrades will not be the only focus of the X500 series. Vivo is also expected to improve photography, performance, the operating system, and the display.
The company has not revealed the full specifications yet. More details about the Vivo X500 series are expected to arrive ahead of its September launch.
