Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) will operate at full capacity on Sunday, with its management, administration and accounts departments all functioning during normal working hours.
The directive instructs all officers and staff to ensure their presence during designated duty hours, warning that unauthorised absence, negligence or failure to comply with orders will result in strict disciplinary action.
The notification, approved by Deputy Executive Director Dr Anizah Jalil, comes as PIMS continues operating under heightened scrutiny following a fire that broke out in the paediatric intensive care unit, killing 14 children.
The children ward in the hospital has remained closed since the incident, which prompted questions over safety protocols and hospital administration at the federal capital’s largest public healthcare facility.
