The Government of Pakistan has decided to purchase one LNG cargo from the spot market to meet domestic gas requirements.
Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has issued a tender inviting international LNG suppliers to participate in the procurement process.
According to PLL, international suppliers have been asked to submit their bids by tomorrow, with the bids scheduled to be opened on the same day.
The tender seeks LNG supplies for the delivery period from September 4 to September 8.
The spot-market purchase is aimed at securing additional LNG supplies during the specified delivery window and supporting domestic gas requirements.
Pakistan regularly turns to spot-market LNG purchases to manage supply requirements when additional cargoes are needed beyond long-term arrangements.
The latest procurement will allow the government to secure an additional LNG cargo for the domestic market during the upcoming September delivery period.
