Citizens can now search for and download copies of their property registry documents through the Registration of Deeds (ROD) portal, eliminating the need to visit registrar offices in person for routine record retrieval.
The online facility allows users to locate their registry by selecting their district and tehsil, then narrowing the search using any one of several identifiers: the CNIC number of the buyer, seller, or commission agent; their name; or the registry number itself.
Once these details are entered, users can click the search button to retrieve matching records.
Officials clarified that the available records are digitized versions of district registry archives. In cases where a registry does not appear in the system, users have been advised to contact the relevant office directly through the portal for assistance.
To use the service, individuals must first create an account by visiting the portal’s login page and selecting the registration option. After entering a valid email address, users receive a verification email; clicking the confirmation link activates the account and enables access. Once logged in, users can search for and view the details of their registry.
Downloading a copy requires an additional payment step. When a user opts to print a record, the system generates a challan number along with a Payment Slip ID (PSID).
Payment can then be made through mobile banking applications such as JazzCash or Easypaisa using the PSID. Once the transaction is confirmed, the registry copy becomes available for download.
The portal has cautioned users against submitting false or fraudulent information, warning that accounts found in violation may be blocked. Officials further noted that all payments are processed strictly according to the details provided at the time of application, urging applicants to ensure accuracy before submission.
