Petrol pumps across the country will supply subsidised fuel only to vehicles registered under the Prime Minister’s subsidy scheme whose tokens have been generated, the All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has said.
The association clarified that unregistered vehicles, and those without a token, will not be eligible for the discounted rate. It urged consumers to cooperate with pump staff in implementing the rule.
Association leader Numan Ali Butt said the government’s directive limits the subsidy to customers whose vehicles are registered and have a formally generated token.
He said pump owners are legally required to dispense subsidised petrol only to a vehicle whose token appears in the system. No other vehicle can be given fuel at the subsidised rate.
