A total of 66,815 Pakistanis left the country for employment over the past two months, according to the report publsihed by the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment.
The report shows 27,656 Pakistanis went abroad in search of work in August 2026. In July, the number of overseas workers was 39,159. Month-on-month, the figure fell by 11,503.
In August, the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund issued 5,169 interest-free loans worth Rs381 million. The loans were provided for small businesses, self-employment and financial inclusion. Since 2019, total interest-free lending has reached Rs127 billion.
The bureau added that the government is also expanding housing and agricultural financing. The measures aim to give more people access to economic opportunities.
