Pakistan has successfully conducted a test launch of the extended-range version of the indigenously developed Fatah-IV ground-launched cruise missile, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Tuesday.
According to ISPR, the missile is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigation systems, allowing it to engage targets at extended ranges with high precision. The test also validated additional technical parameters of its subsystems aimed at improving accuracy and survivability.
Senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers involved in the missile’s development, witnessed the launch. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other service chiefs congratulated the teams involved in the test.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also described the successful test as an important development for Pakistan’s defence sector and praised the scientists and engineers involved in the programme.
The latest test follows the successful Fatah-IV test conducted by the Army Rocket Force Command in May. Pakistan had also conducted a training launch of the Fatah-IV at a reported range of 750 kilometres in September 2025.
