District administration in Faisalabad has directed the Health and Population Department to register FIRs against those responsible for any site where dengue larvae are found. The instructions are part of measures to control the spread of dengue in the city.
According to media reports, the Health and Population Department said cases will be registered when larvae are detected at outdoor locations, and legal action will follow against the relevant people once larvae are recovered.
Officials said larvae have been found and destroyed at around 35,000 locations across Faisalabad this year.
The department has urged citizens to follow standard operating procedures for dengue prevention. Residents have been advised to ensure that conditions allowing mosquitoes to breed do not develop around their homes and other outdoor areas.
The directive forms part of the wider effort of the district administration to strengthen dengue prevention and ensure greater compliance with public health guidelines.
