The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the Pakistan Financial Inclusion Index (P-FII) results for 2025, showing an improvement in financial inclusion across the country. The index rose to 59.5 in 2025, up from 58.1 in 2024.
The increase was mainly driven by strong growth in the Usage sub-index, followed by improvements in Access and Quality. SBP said the progress reflects the implementation of digital initiatives under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) 2024–28, including RAAST merchant onboarding, expansion of the digital payments ecosystem, introduction of digital banks and efforts to increase account openings.
The central bank also highlighted consumer-focused initiatives and financial literacy efforts as factors supporting the improvement in Pakistan’s financial inclusion landscape.
