The Lahore District Administration has launched the Supervisory Municipal Issues Reporting System to improve the monitoring and resolution of civic complaints across the city.
The initiative was discussed during a meeting chaired by Lahore Division Commissioner Nauman Yousuf, who congratulated the district administration on the system’s launch. Officials also informed the commissioner that the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has started work to make the platform fully operational across all districts.
The new system will enable authorities to monitor complaints in real time and ensure timely action on municipal issues. It is designed to address problems such as poor sanitation, uncovered manholes, illegal encroachments, and faulty streetlights.
Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (Ret.) Ali Ejaz said that bringing departments responsible for civic services onto a single portal would improve coordination and help resolve public complaints more efficiently.
The initiative aims to strengthen municipal oversight and improve service delivery by enabling relevant departments to track and respond to civic issues through a centralized system.
