The upcoming iQOO Neo12 could stand out with a display that combines 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. According to a new leak from the source on Weibo, the phone may use a next-generation OLED panel from Chinese manufacturer Visionox.
Visionox is reportedly developing the display, which would be the first mass-produced screen to combine these specifications. It is also expected to use a new luminescent material designed to improve brightness, lifespan, and overall display performance.
The source claims an iQOO device featuring this panel will launch by the end of October. The Neo12 is a likely candidate, as its predecessor, the iQOO Neo11, arrived in October last year.
Previous leaks also suggest the Neo12 could run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. In addition, iQOO has reportedly been testing an active cooling fan for the device. However, it remains unclear whether the fan will make it into the final product.
