The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has directed 331 government schools across the province to register with the Global Virtual School platform to address shortages of teachers in key subjects.
The decision was taken on the directions of Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan. Under the initiative, students in selected schools will receive online instruction in science, mathematics, English, and information technology or computer science from qualified teachers.
The department expects the program to help overcome staff shortages, ensure continuity of learning, and improve education quality in participating schools. The initiative also aims to expand access to modern educational facilities in remote and underserved areas, enabling government schools to meet changing educational needs.
