US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $301 million in net inflows last week, ending a two-week streak of outflows despite heavy withdrawals toward the end of the week.
According to Farside Investors data, Bitcoin ETFs lost around $228 million in the previous week and $680 million the week before. October’s net outflows stood at approximately $314 million.
The funds attracted $1.08 billion between Monday and Wednesday as Bitcoin climbed to a weekly high of $84,777. However, investors withdrew around $774 million on Thursday and Friday as Bitcoin prices retreated toward $80,000.
Research published by market maker DWF Labs found that spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows during seven of eight Bitcoin sell-offs of at least 15% since the funds launched in January 2024. The findings suggest that ETF investors have often reduced exposure during significant market declines rather than buying the dip.
At the time of publication, Bitcoin was trading at around $80,025, down 3.3% over the previous seven days. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index also fell to a neutral reading of 50, compared with 59 a week earlier.
Meanwhile, US spot Ether ETFs recorded their fourth consecutive week of net outflows, losing approximately $221 million last week, according to Farside Investors data.
