Ahmed Shehzad has pledged to provide food for everyone in the audience and support crew if Babar Azam wins Pakistan’s upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 match against India.
During a television programme, Shehzad, Mohammad Amir, and Rashid Latif mocked Babar’s performances and placed public wagers on his potential impact in the high-profile clash.
The right-handed opener said he would provide food for the entire audience and production staff if Babar played a match-winning innings for Pakistan in the crucial encounter.
Former fast bowler Mohammad Amir stated he could come out of retirement if the Lahore-born cricketer scored 50 or more runs with a strike rate exceeding 150.
The host of Hasna Mana Hai, Tabish Hashmi, responded, saying that if Babar played an innings at a strike rate of 160 and helped Pakistan win, Amir would reverse his retirement.
Ahmed Shehzad later added that if the former captain scored more than 50 runs at a strike rate of 150 in a match-winning effort, the stated conditions would apply.
It is pertinent to mention that Babar Azam has played five T20 International matches against India, scoring 105 runs at an average of 26.25 and a strike rate of 128.04.
