Allama Iqbal Open University has announced the admission schedule for the Fall (Autumn) 2026 semester, with applications for all academic programs set to open nationwide from July 1.
The university said admissions will be offered for a wide range of programs, from Matriculation to PhD level, with the process commencing simultaneously across Pakistan. Students from all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other northern regions will be able to apply.
AIOU has also extended admission opportunities to overseas Pakistanis and international students, allowing them to enroll in various academic programs through the university’s distance learning system.
According to the university administration, admission forms and prospectuses for all programs will be available online from July 1, enabling applicants to complete the entire process remotely without visiting university campuses.
To facilitate students, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood has directed all 53 regional offices to establish Student Facilitation Desks before the start of admissions.
These facilitation centers will assist applicants with the admission process and provide free computer and internet facilities to help students submit their online applications.
University officials said the initiative is aimed at expanding access to higher education, simplifying the admission process, and improving student support services through modern digital facilities.
