AIOU Issues Warning Over Viral Fake Job Advertisement

Published by

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has issued an official clarification after a fake tutor recruitment advertisement, falsely using the university’s name, went viral on social media. The university confirmed that the advertisement is completely bogus and has no connection with AIOU.

According to AIOU officials, the misleading advertisement claims to offer tutor recruitment opportunities and urges applicants to respond through unofficial channels. The university stressed that it has not announced any such hiring and warned the public against trusting or sharing unverified posts.

An AIOU spokesperson stated, “The university has no link with this viral advertisement. People are advised to verify all information through official AIOU platforms before taking any action.”

AIOU cautioned that such fake advertisements are often designed to trap students and job seekers into financial scams or to collect sensitive personal information. Officials urged applicants to remain vigilant, especially regarding job offers that demand fees or personal details.

The university added that it is closely monitoring the situation and may initiate legal action against individuals or groups involved in spreading false information under AIOU’s name.

AIOU advised students and job seekers to rely only on its official website and verified social media accounts for authentic updates related to admissions, examinations, and recruitment.
