Karachi Lahore Airspace Restrictions Imposed Amid Security Concerns

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has enforced a Lahore airspace closure once again, suspending commercial traffic due to heightened security threats. This latest disruption comes shortly after India’s airstrikes triggered renewed regional tensions.

An official NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued late Wednesday confirmed that three critical air corridors — 139 J, 165 J, and 186 J — have been shut down for 24 hours. The Lahore airspace closure impacts numerous domestic and international flights, forcing airlines to reroute or delay services across key travel routes.

The move follows a brief reopening earlier in the day when the PCAA had restored normal operations over Lahore. A spokesperson for the authority had advised passengers to stay updated with their airlines, warning that the situation could change rapidly due to rising threat levels.

Passengers are urged to monitor real-time updates from both airlines and the PCAA as further flight suspensions and schedule changes remain highly possible amidst the ongoing escalation.
