Internet services across Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be restored within two days, newly elected Prime Minister Iftikhar Ali Gillani announced on Saturday.
Services, suspended since June 8, will return in phases, with educational institutions reconnected first before access is extended to the general public.
Speaking to media during a visit to the Press Club, Gillani said all entry and exit routes into Azad Kashmir would also reopen within the same two-day period.
He said the Kashmir freedom movement and good governance would remain his government’s top priorities, adding that measures would be taken to resolve public grievances and improve administrative affairs across the region.
