Akhuwat, one of the most well known local NGOs working in Pakistan is collaborating with Youth Impact, a SECP registered company that has an extensive roster of skilled youth trainers etc. to bring you COMPASS – Akhuwat Youth Leaders Camp.

COMPASS is a 4-day event, starting from 27th of December till 30th December. There are two venues for the event; one is the Akhuwat University in Kasur and the other is the ever-famous Walled City in Lahore. A rostrum of roughly 100 delegates/future youth leaders will be selected for the Camp along with a host of organizers, guests, speakers, and mentors etc. Akhuwat will be providing on-campus accommodation to COMPASS’ participants.

Here is the schedule for the event, dividing up the 4 days among themselves respectively:
December 27, 28 & 30 – Akhuwat University, Kasur
December 29 – Walled City, Lahore

Akhuwat aims to address a really important issue through this Camp; lack of opportunities for the youth. It has been stressed that in the ongoing social-cultural economic conditions in the country have subjected the youth to immense demoralization due to factors like the ever-increasing difference between the masses and the elite and being stuck in society’s self-created stereotypes.

Being subjected to these issues has caused the creative side of the youth to fade away, thus causing the Pakistani youth to lose the ability to think out of the box; well, not anymore. Akhuwat and Youth Impact’ collaboration to organize COMPASS is aimed at countering this issue by providing the youth of the country to interact with industry leaders regarding how to think out of the box and how to counter imminent challenges.

The Camp will be further divided into further sub-events, such as Mentorship Sessions, Camping at 0°C, a live bonfire and storytelling time among a host of other small sub-events. The main highlight will be the one day spent in the Walled City, wherein all participants will have to run in “The Amazing Race”. Keynote addresses will be given to the participants by a leading panel of experts and side by side, the participants will be given a first-hand opportunity to learn through experience in real-life scenarios.

You can register for the Camp if you’re between 17 and 24 and are willing to pay Rs.19500 for the registration, which includes accommodation. Register for COMPASS – Akhuwat Youth Leaders Camp from here.
