Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, are currently experiencing slow performance across Pakistan, according to internet service provider Nayatel.
In an advisory issued to customers, Nayatel stated that the disruption is linked to “emergency activity” at Meta’s end. The issue has reportedly caused internet traffic to be rerouted, resulting in congestion on upstream provider links and slower access to Meta services nationwide.
Several Nayatel users have also reported connectivity issues over the past day. Many said that social media pages were not loading, websites were going down, and work-related uploads were taking unusually long to complete.
Below is the report from DownDetector showing Nayatel’s performance trend over the last 24 hours.
The company assured users that its technical teams are in close coordination with the upstream service provider to restore normal speeds as quickly as possible. Nayatel also thanked its customers for their patience and understanding while efforts continue to resolve the issue.
