Amazon has launched Amazon Bazaar, a new low-cost shopping app for Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The app, separate from Amazon’s main platform, features most products under $10, with some priced as low as $2.
It is now available on Android and iOS in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Nigeria, with more markets planned in the coming months.
Bazaar shares many features with Amazon Haul, the platform, launched last November to compete with Shein and Temu. Haul remains part of Amazon’s main website and app in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, and Australia.
In other markets, Haul was already branded as Bazaar through the main app, including Mexico, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and India. Amazon says the dual branding suits local languages and cultures.
The new app aims to compete with popular low-cost Chinese shopping apps, offering hundreds of thousands of products in categories like fashion, home goods, and lifestyle. Users can shop using existing Amazon credentials and pay with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.
Free shipping applies to orders meeting local minimum purchase thresholds, and returns are free within 15 days. Bazaar supports six languages and features interactive promotions, including social lucky draws. New customers also get 50% off their first delivery.
