The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will establish a sub-office in Dera Ismail Khan, Chairman Nazir Ahmed Butt announced, in response to a rise in corruption cases and public complaints in the area.
NAB Peshawar said the new office is part of a plan to make action against corruption more effective in the Dera Ismail Khan division and its adjoining districts.
Under the plan, residents will be able to file complaints locally instead of travelling to distant regional headquarters. They will also be able to submit evidence at the sub-office, where complaints will be acted on promptly and complainants will be contacted directly.
The process of setting up and activating the sub-office is expected to begin soon.
