Apple Releases iOS 26.1: New Toggles, Better Sound, and Smarter Features

Apple has started rolling out the iOS 26.1 update for all compatible iPhone models, including users in Pakistan. The update is now available for download alongside iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, watchOS 26.1, and tvOS 26.1, bringing new features and improvements across Apple’s ecosystem.

The iOS 26.1 update introduces a new Liquid Glass toggle, giving users control over clear or tinted UI elements. Apple has also added an option to disable the Lock Screen Swipe to Open Camera feature, a long-requested change by many iPhone users.

Alongside these visual tweaks, the update enhances Apple Music, Local Capture, FaceTime audio, Alarms, and Apple Intelligence. Apple says FaceTime audio now delivers improved sound quality for clearer conversations.

In addition, Live Translation with AirPods now supports Chinese, Italian, Japanese, and Korean languages. The Fitness app also gets a manual workout logging feature, allowing users to record activities without Apple Watch integration.

For iPad users, iPadOS 26.1 introduces the new Slide Over multitasking feature and adds support for a dedicated Apple Vision Pro app. Meanwhile, macOS Tahoe 26.1 focuses on design refinements, improved safety, and expanded compatibility for the Image Playground feature, which now works with third-party image generation models.
