The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the schedule for direct recruitment of 23 permanent Inspector (BS-16) posts in the Islamabad Capital Territory Police, with applications open until August 31, 2026.
The recruitment falls under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, which oversees the Islamabad Police. Interested candidates must submit their applications before the deadline to be considered for selection.
Applicants are required to hold a second class or grade C Masters degree, or a BS or Bachelors degree, from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission. The age limit is set between 20 and 28 years, with a general relaxation of 5 years on the upper limit.
Physical eligibility criteria require male candidates to stand at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, while female candidates must be at least 5 feet 2 inches. Male candidates must have a chest measurement between 33 and 34.5 inches. Vision requirements are set at 6/6, with near vision not permitted to fall below J-1.
For the physical test, male candidates must complete a 1.6 kilometre run within 7 minutes, while female candidates are allowed 10 minutes for the same distance. Physical measurements and tests will be conducted once the ICT Police Department refers candidates to the FPSC.
Of the 23 Inspector posts, one is allocated on merit, 5 for Islamabad, 9 for Punjab, 2 for Sindh Rural, one for Sindh Urban, 2 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one for Balochistan, one for former FATA, and one for Azad Kashmir. All selected inspectors will be posted in Islamabad.
