Balochistan High Court Revises Winter Vacation Schedule for 2025–26
The Balochistan High Court has officially revised its winter vacation schedule, issuing a fresh notification for the principal seat in Quetta. The updated decision changes the previously announced break and outlines new court and office timings for the winter period.
Updated Vacation Schedule
According to the latest notification, the winter recess will now be observed from 22 December 2025 to 21 February 2026, during which routine civil hearings will remain suspended. Regular court proceedings will resume on 23 February 2026.
The court confirmed that Vacation Judges will be available throughout the break to hear urgent petitions and miscellaneous applications.
“Applications will be received daily except on Sundays and public holidays,” the notice states.
Cases requiring further hearing will be taken up once the court formally reopens.
Revised Court & Office Timings
The new notification also updates working hours for the winter period:
Office hours will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Monday to Thursday & Saturday) and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday. Court hearings will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM (Monday to Thursday & Saturday) and 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday.
The notification has been issued by the Registrar on the instructions of the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court.
