Balochistan Revises Gas Load Management Schedule to Ease Household Impact
The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has updated its gas load management schedule across Balochistan, shifting supply suspensions to 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. instead of the previous 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. timing. This change aims to reduce inconvenience for residents during peak evening hours.
The revision follows recommendations from the Balochistan Chief Minister and the Chief Justice of the High Court, who emphasized the importance of minimizing disruption for households. SSGC officials stated that the adjusted schedule ensures families have uninterrupted gas during late-night cooking and heating hours, reflecting a more citizen-friendly approach to load management.
Gas supply management in the province has been a regular necessity due to demand fluctuations and infrastructure constraints. By delaying the start of the shutdown, SSGC hopes to balance energy conservation with the daily needs of residents, providing relief during colder months when gas usage is at its peak.
Officials urged the public to plan usage efficiently and assured that further adjustments will be communicated promptly to maintain a steady and reliable gas supply across the province.
