Belarus Proposes Joint Assembly Of Electric Buses With Pakistan

Belarus has proposed a joint assembly of electric buses with Pakistan, marking a potential leap forward in bilateral cooperation and green energy development. The offer was made by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko during recent talks with electric Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Minsk.

President Lukashenko noted that Belarus’s tractor industry, a cornerstone of the national economy, continues to serve as a key export to Pakistan. He expressed optimism that the export volume of Belarusian tractors to Pakistan would grow significantly in the coming months.

In addition to tractors, both leaders explored the possibility of increasing exports of Belarusian utility vehicles, trucks, and quarry equipment to Pakistan.

The highlight of the discussion was Belarus’s proposal for a joint assembly of electric buses, which underscores the country’s intent to expand its presence in Pakistan’s green energy and electric vehicle market.

The initiative aligns with Belarus’s broader strategy to enhance industrial cooperation with Pakistan while supporting eco-friendly transportation solutions.
