Binance Founder CZ Applauds Pakistan’s Crypto Adoption Push

Crypto adoption in Pakistan just received a major endorsement from Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who described the country as “very serious” about embracing blockchain and digital assets. Following a high-profile visit where he met key government officials, CZ said Pakistan has exceeded his expectations in its approach to crypto innovation and regulation.
Speaking during an interview hosted by the Pakistan Crypto Council CEO Bilal Bin Saqib, CZ reflected on his initial views and how they evolved during his time in the country. “Before I came, I thought the regulatory stance was a bit conservative,” he said. “But after this trip, that completely changed. I’ve probably met more ministers here than in most other countries.”
CZ pointed to Pakistan’s demographics as a major advantage in leading crypto adoption globally. “There are lots of young, tech-savvy people here,” he added. “The average age is 24. They naturally gravitate towards crypto.”

The strategic advisor appointment to the Pakistan Crypto Council aligns with CZ’s broader belief that emerging markets will play a pivotal role in driving global blockchain usage. “I think the first few governments to get the crypto regulations in an optimum structure will attract massive investments, innovation, and activity,” he said.
Highlighting Pakistan’s potential, CZ noted that many young citizens have already benefited financially from engaging with blockchain technologies. “We only provided the tools,” he said. “But getting the regulatory framework right will give the country a huge lead.”
His comments come at a time when Pakistan is recognized as one of the world’s top freelance markets, with an eager, young population hungry for digital innovation.
With crypto adoption in Pakistan gaining momentum, industry watchers and investors will be keeping a close eye on how quickly the government turns vision into policy. If CZ’s optimism holds, Pakistan could soon emerge as a key hub for blockchain development in South Asia.
