The Benazir Income Support Program has introduced a real-time dashboard for its stunting prevention initiative, the Benazir Nashonuma Program. Focusing on data, accountability, and measurable impact in the fight against child malnutrition.

BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid unveiled the dashboard at an official ceremony. She was joined by Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Syed Imran Ahmed Shah and World Food Program Country Director Coco Ushiyama. The event highlighted growing collaboration between Pakistan and global development partners.

The new system offers real-time insights into program performance. As a result, officials can monitor progress more closely at both federal and provincial levels. The dashboard also improves accountability and strengthens policy responses where gaps appear. In addition, it supports data-driven decisions in the health and social protection sectors.

Importantly, the platform tracks nutrition support for children during the first 1,000 days of life. Experts consider this period critical for physical and mental development. By focusing on early intervention, the program aims to reduce long-term health risks and improve growth outcomes.

Senator Rubina Khalid said the initiative focuses on healthier growth for children, especially girls. She stressed the need to address nutritional deficiencies at an early stage. Moreover, she acknowledged the technical support provided by the World Food Program, UNICEF, and the World Health Organization. Their collaboration has helped strengthen implementation and monitoring systems.

So far, the Benazir Nashonuma Program has reached over four million women and children. It provides essential nutritional assistance during the most vulnerable early years. This scale makes it one of the country’s most significant health-linked cash support efforts.

Alongside the digital rollout, BISP also announced financial relief ahead of Ramadan. The program increased stipend amounts across its flagship initiatives to support 10 million beneficiary families nationwide.

Under the Benazir Kafalat program, the quarterly stipend has risen from Rs. 13,500 to Rs. 14,500. This marks an increase of Rs. 1,000. Beneficiaries will receive the enhanced payments during Ramadan.
