Nearly 800 personnel of the Lahore Parking and Traffic Force have been issued warnings following a sharp rise in complaints from business owners over misconduct, abuse of authority and bribery.
According to the newly compiled report, 794 personnel were warned over allegations of corruption and misuse of power, while 145 cases remain under investigation.
Action has been taken against 371 personnel in total, with 298 fined for their conduct.
16 personnel had their service records confiscated, and six had their annual increments withheld as punishment. 12 personnel were dismissed from service altogether, while 351 others were sent back to their respective units.
In addition, three personnel were sentenced to quarter guard duty and three others were given extra drill as disciplinary measures.
