Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Solves Controversial Endgame Mode Disconnect Issue

Treyarch Studios has officially released a vital update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. This new patch directly addresses a major frustration within the community regarding the new PvE “Endgame” mode. Players no longer need to fear losing massive amounts of progress due to unexpected connection issues.

Previously, accidental disconnections punished players severely. A sudden Wi-Fi drop or power outage resulted in a complete wipe of a player’s progression. For example, one user reported losing a Level 60 Combat Rating simply because their internet disconnected. Another player saw their rating reset to zero three times in a single day. Thankfully, the developers have listened.

How the New Protection Works

The update introduces a “snapshot” feature to protect your hard-earned stats. Now, the game records your Combat Rating the moment you enter an Endgame match.

If you experience an unexpected disconnect, the game restores your status. You will begin your next match with the exact Combat Rating you had when you entered the previous one. This change ensures that external factors, like power cuts, do not erase hours of gameplay.

However, the game maintains its high stakes. This protection only applies to accidental disconnects. As Endgame is an extraction-based mode, you will still lose progress if you fail to exfil successfully during normal gameplay.

Call of Duty Endgame Mode is Now Open to All

This fix arrives at a perfect time for the player base. Initially, the Endgame mode was locked behind the completion of the new Co-Op Campaign. However, following a strong positive reception, Treyarch Studios made the mode accessible to everyone on November 21, 2025.

For those unfamiliar, Endgame is a PvE extraction-style experience. It drops you into the Avalon map with 31 other players. The goal is to complete objectives, secure gear, and exfil. It serves as an excellent alternative for levelling weapons without grinding through competitive Multiplayer or Zombies.

Additionally, recent leaks suggest that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 may introduce three classic maps, keeping the momentum going for the shooter.
