The Competition Commission of Pakistan has cleared Nippon Express’ purchase of a minority stake in TCS Logistics, marking a major step for the country’s logistics sector. The deal brings together TCS Logistics’ strong domestic network and Nippon Express’ global expertise in supply chain management.
This partnership is expected to boost Pakistan’s third-party logistics (3PL) industry while improving supply chain efficiency across key trade routes. Analysts say it could enhance trade connectivity with regional and international markets, supporting imports, exports, and modernizing the nation’s logistics framework.
Saira Awan Malik, president of TCS Group, described the agreement as a sign of growing international confidence in Pakistan’s logistics capabilities. Nippon Express added that the investment would expand its logistics services in Pakistan and create new regional trade opportunities.
TCS Logistics operates under the TCS Group in Pakistan, while Nippon Express (South Asia & Oceania) Pte. Limited is a subsidiary of Japan-based Nippon Express Holdings, Inc.
