The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has uncovered a massive fraud involving fake farmhouse allotments worth over Rs. 3 billion. Officials revealed that land records were manipulated, inflating 50 kanals to 500 kanals to secure illegal court decrees for five properties on Main Murree Road, including plots 38, 40, 59, 66, and 66A.
DG Law Directorate Naeem Akbar Dar confirmed,
“Official records were deliberately tampered with, but all fraudulent decrees have now been cancelled. Strict action will follow against those involved.”
A fact finding committee led by Deputy Director General Resources Humaira Arshad and Director Shakeel Ahmed has been tasked to complete the preliminary investigation within three days.
The CDA said the scam exposed collusion between certain lawyers and CDA staff, and the crackdown is part of a broader effort to protect government land from illegal encroachments and document manipulation.
