Pakistan’s cement dispatches increased by 5.95% year-on-year to 4.621 million tons in September 2026, driven mainly by stronger domestic demand, according to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA).
Domestic cement dispatches rose 7.35% to 3.788 million tons, while exports remained almost unchanged at 832,173 tons. North-based cement mills recorded total dispatches of 3.164 million tons, down 2.43% from a year earlier, while South-based mills posted a 30.23% increase to 1.46 million tons.
During the first quarter of FY27, total cement dispatches increased 3.88% to 13.141 million tons from 12.651 million tons in the same period last year. Domestic dispatches rose 7.79% to 10.845 million tons, while exports declined 11.32% to 2.296 million tons.
North-based mills recorded domestic dispatches of 8.946 million tons during the quarter, up 6.80%, but reported no exports compared with 661,866 tons a year earlier. South-based mills recorded a 12.71% increase in domestic dispatches to 1.899 million tons, while exports rose 19.15% to 2.296 million tons.
The APCMA spokesman expressed concern over declining overall exports and continued instability in energy prices. He said easing geopolitical tensions would be important for the recovery of the cement and allied industries.
