Chery Pakistan has officially launched its flagship hybrid SUV, the Tiggo 8 PHEV, in the country with a price of Rs. 10,999,000. The seven-seat SUV, unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show in Karachi last year, combines luxury, high performance, and cutting-edge technology, positioning itself as a strong contender in Pakistan’s growing hybrid SUV segment.
The Tiggo 8 PHEV is powered by a hybrid powertrain generating 543 horsepower and 830 Nm of torque. Its 18.3 kWh battery allows up to 77 kilometers of electric-only driving, while the combined range reaches approximately 1,020 kilometers. Fast charging capabilities ensure the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 40 kW DC charger.
Inside, the SUV offers premium features including a 15.6-inch 2.5K infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a Sony 12-speaker sound system. “Luxury meets performance in the Tiggo 8 PHEV,” Chery officials said, highlighting ventilated electric seats, ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control for passenger comfort.
Safety has been prioritized with 10 airbags, advanced ADAS driver assistance systems, and a 360-degree camera. Bookings open from January 15 to 31, 2026, with a down payment of Rs. 5,000,000, and deliveries are scheduled to begin on April 26, 2026.
This launch marks Chery’s significant step in Pakistan’s electric and hybrid vehicle market, complementing upcoming releases for the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 9 series, expected to expand the hybrid SUV lineup further.
The Pakistani automotive market has seen increasing interest in hybrid and electric vehicles, fueled by rising fuel prices and environmental awareness.
