Tianjin University has opened applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Type B) for international students, including Pakistanis, aiming to attract high-achieving candidates in engineering, science, management, humanities, and social sciences. The program covers full degree studies for both MS and PhD applicants and is considered among the most competitive scholarships offered by China.

China has consistently expanded educational cooperation with Pakistan, offering hundreds of scholarships each year under bilateral and CSC programs. Tianjin University, established in 1895, is a key beneficiary of this initiative and regularly hosts Pakistani students across technical and research-based disciplines.

Programs and Coverage

Under the 2026 intake, Tianjin University is offering over 100 Master’s and 120 PhD programs, with a significant number taught entirely in English. The scholarship provides:

• Full tuition coverage
• Free on-campus accommodation or housing allowance
• Comprehensive medical insurance
• Monthly stipend of CNY 3,500 for both MS and PhD students

Eligibility and Language Requirements

• Minimum GPA: 3.2/4.0 or equivalent
• PhD candidates must have at least one published research paper
• English-taught programs: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80
• Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5 (minimum 180)

Interested candidates must complete applications through both Tianjin University’s online system and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) portal using Tianjin University’s agency number 10056.

• Visit the Tianjin University online application system.
• fill in your personal details, academic records, and research interests.
• Upload required documents such as transcripts, degree certificates, and recommendation letters.

China Scholarship Council (CSC) Application

• Register separately on the CSC portal.
• Select Type B – High-Level Postgraduate Program.
• Enter Tianjin University Agency Number: 10056.
• Upload the same required documents as submitted to Tianjin University.

Final Submission

• Ensure all documents are correctly uploaded before January 18, 2026.
• Wait for the selection process and further instructions from Tianjin University and CSC
