Cholistan Desert Rally 2026 Schedule Announced

The 21st TDCP International Cholistan Desert Rally will roar into action from February 4 to 8, 2026, as Pakistan’s largest off-road motorsport event returns to the vast sands of Cholistan Desert near Bahawalpur, bringing together national and international racers while promoting tourism and regional development.

Organised by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP), the rally is expected to attract thousands of motorsport fans, professional drivers, and tourists from across the country. Known for its extreme desert tracks and high-speed competition, the event once again places Pakistan on the regional motorsport map.

The rally will feature multiple vehicle categories competing over challenging dunes and long desert routes, testing endurance, skill, and machine reliability in one of South Asia’s toughest terrains.

Beyond racing, the Cholistan Desert Rally plays a key role in promoting South Punjab’s tourism potential, highlighting local culture, heritage, and hospitality. Hotels, transport services, local vendors, and artisans traditionally see a surge in economic activity during the event.

TDCP Managing Director Asim Raza previously stated that the rally has evolved over more than two decades into South Asia’s largest desert rally, significantly contributing to Pakistan’s tourism sector and global image.

With continuous improvements in organisation, safety, and international participation, the Cholistan Desert Rally has become a flagship event for Punjab’s tourism strategy. TDCP continues to position the rally as a platform to attract foreign tourists and motorsport professionals while showcasing Pakistan’s natural landscapes.
