The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out new features for citizens to renew their CNICs online via the Pak ID mobile app, offering a secure and convenient way to receive updated ID cards at home.
NADRA urged citizens to submit their CNIC renewal applications directly through the official Pak ID app, warning against fake websites impersonating the authority. A fraudulent site named “NADRA Card Centre” has been deceiving overseas Pakistanis by offering illegitimate ID services.
A NADRA spokesperson emphasized,
“To avoid fraud, individuals should only use the official Pak ID mobile application for identification services.”
The authority has filed a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to investigate the fake website and protect citizens from scams.
These updates reinforce NADRA’s commitment to digital services and citizen security, ensuring that CNIC renewal processes remain safe, efficient, and fully online.
