The Collectorate of Customs (Enforcement) Quetta has seized Rs81 million worth of non-custom paid (NCP) vehicles, blocking a major smuggling attempt on the RCD Highway. According to officials, the raid was conducted after credible intelligence was shared by the Chief Collector (Enforcement) Islamabad.
The operation targeted a warehouse in Mastung, where 11 NCP vehicles were recovered, including four Toyota Prius, two Toyota Aqua, a Toyota CHR, Honda Vezel, Nissan 350Z, Corolla Fielder and a Prado jeep. All units have been taken into custody under the Customs Act, 1969 for legal proceedings.
A senior enforcement official said,
“This action is part of our continuous crackdown against vehicle smuggling. Such operations protect the national exchequer and ensure only legally imported vehicles enter the market.”
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) also appreciated the swift action of the Quetta team, reaffirming its commitment to combating smuggling and promoting lawful trade across Pakistan.
