Pakistan’s National Cyber Emergency Response Team (PKCERT) has issued a major cybersecurity alert. In a joint operation with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), officials successfully shut down nine fake NADRA websites. These malicious domains impersonated official NADRA services.
Authorities conducted this operation recently between February and March 2026. Consequently, they took these fake portals offline to protect the digital ecosystem.
The Phishing Threat Targeting Citizens
Cybercriminals deliberately designed these fake websites to look exactly like official government portals. Furthermore, they aimed to mislead unsuspecting citizens into submitting highly sensitive personal and financial data. Attackers used these sites to potentially collect identity card details, passport information, and contact numbers.
According to cybersecurity experts, hackers frequently create these phishing websites to imitate official services. Therefore, users must remain highly vigilant to avoid identity theft and online fraud.
List of Banned Fake NADRA Websites
Officials successfully identified and removed the following nine fraudulent domains:
- visa-nadra-gov-pk.shafaftech.com
- visa.nadra.gov-pak.com
- visa.nadra.gov.pk-com.io
- visa.nadra.gov.pk.gofly.com.gofly.com.pk
- visa.nadra.gov.pk.e-visa.pk
- nadraverisys.com
- nadraservices.uk
- nadracardscenter.co.uk
- nadralive.xyz
How to Stay Safe Online
National CERT and NADRA strongly urge the public to exercise caution when accessing online government services. Additionally, authorities recommend taking the following preventive steps:
- Always verify a website’s authenticity before entering personal data.
- Never enter personal or financial information on suspicious links.
- Avoid clicking links received via SMS, emails, or social media platforms.
- Use only official government platforms for all NADRA-related tasks.
For legitimate services, citizens must exclusively use the official NADRA website (https://www.nadra.gov.pk) or the official Visa Portal (https://visa.nadra.gov.pk). Meanwhile, authorities continue to actively monitor cyberspace to ensure Pakistan’s ongoing digital safety.
