Dar Urges European Companies to Explore Pakistan’s Expanding Investment Opportunities

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has called on top European firms to take advantage of the growing investment prospects in Pakistan’s major sectors. Speaking at a reception in Brussels, he stressed that Pakistan’s vast potential especially in agriculture, textiles, IT, housing, energy and minerals offers European investors a strong and profitable gateway into one of the fastest growing regional markets.

During his visit for the Indo Pacific Ministerial Forum and the 7th Pakistan EU Strategic Dialogue, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s long standing partnership with the European Union, calling it “a vital pillar for peace, stability and economic growth.” The event at Pakistan House was attended by influential Members of the European Parliament, senior EU officials and Pakistan’s diplomatic representatives, reflecting the importance of the outreach.

Dar pointed out that with Pakistan being the fifth most populous country, and over 60% of its citizens under the age of 30, the country offers unmatched economic expansion opportunities. He also added that the GSP+ arrangement has significantly boosted Pakistan EU trade volumes and remains crucial for deepening commercial ties.

His message underscored that Pakistan is ready to welcome European investors with open arms, offering strategic location advantages, a young workforce and major untapped sectors ready for development.
