Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended free Coursera access for all students under the HEC-DLSEI project until December 20, 2025 , allowing thousands of learners to continue their international certifications at no cost.
The DLSEI (Digital Learning & Skills Enrichment Initiative) project aims to equip Pakistani students with globally competitive digital skills by partnering with world leading universities and industry platforms. Coursera, hosting courses from institutions such as Stanford, Google, IBM, and the University of Michigan, has been a core part of this initiative.
HEC announced that learners will retain full, free access for another year, ensuring they can complete ongoing courses, guided projects, and professional certificates.
In its official notice, HEC advised students to
“make maximum use of the remaining duration”, stressing that this opportunity is designed to uplift digital skills, enhance employability, and support academic growth.
